Summer fete 2026

The sun was shining; the gazeboes were laid out and erected; the stalls were laden with tempting goodies; the first whiffs of barbequed burgers and sausages began to drift across the garden; the brass band struck up for the first of its repertoire; the length of the entrance queue grew ever longer …… and then ….. the gates were opened!

Within minutes, it was clear this year’s summer fete was destined for yet another triumph.

Sincere thanks has to go to the many willing volunteers: those who helped with the setting up and preparation; the stall holders and those who helped return the presbytery garden to its beautiful tranquillity!

However, without the steady stream of visitors and customers there would have been little hope of success – so a special “Thank you” to each and every one who came clutching their well-earned cash in the hope of bagging a bargain, sampling the delicious fayre and to listen to the brass band’s selection of tunes.
